Cryptoflex e-gate incorporates the USB interface electronics normally found in a smart card reader on the card itself, enabling it to plug directly into the USB port on a computer via a simple connector (available separately).

Note: The token connector used with an e-gate plug must be purchased separately. e-gate cards will also work in any PCSC reader, but the card will operate only as a standard 7816 ISO card when used in this manner.
